Day 1: Ho Chi Minh city – Arrival

Arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport. Transocean’s staff will pick you up and transfer to hotel. Check in time is 14:00PM.

Day 2: Mekong Delta – Cai Be floating market, Vinh Long Town – 2 hours by minivan (B,L)

The day will begin with a two-hour ride from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, we will take a boat cruise to visit Cai Be Floating Market. The floating market is one of the most interesting and exciting attractions in the Mekong Delta. At the floating market, you can watch locals aboard their small boats trading fresh goods and local commodities. We will stop over at a local house where we can see how they make coconut candy, rice-paper, rice-pop corn and rice wine. Leave Cai Be for Binh Hoa Phuoc Islet where the maze of shady creeks will surely fascinate you. You will have a chance to spend time amidst the local farmers, enjoying traditional music and tropical fruits. Have a traditional lunch at a local home, including the popular dish of ‘Elephant Ear Fish’ then continue to Vinh Long Town, passing through the My Thuan Suspension Bridge that sits high above the Mekong River. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh city tour - Cu Chi Tunnels (B,L) - flight to Da Nang

Start the day with a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Stretching over 250 km, Cu Chi is one of the most famous and historical aspects of war in Viet Nam. The tunnel system was created in 1948 to assist the Viet Minh as they fought the French for independence and became legendary during the 1960’s in playing a vital role in the Viet Nam War by allowing the Viet Cong (communist guerrillas) to control large rural areas, just 65 km away from Ho Chi Minh City.

In the afternoon, we will visit some of the other major attractions in HCMC: the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office… Transfer to airport for a flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, pick up and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Da Nang.

Day 4: Da Nang - Hoi An ancient walking tour (B)

Check out. Transfer to Hoi An to exploring Hoi An on foot is one of the best ways to absorb the beauty of this city. Visits to Hoi An’s Museum, many of the town’s renowned Ancient Houses which boast remarkable architecture, Assembly Halls of Chinese influence, a handicraft workshop, and of course the Japanese Covered Bridge. Back to the hotel, have a leisure of time. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 5: My Son Sanctuary (B)

After breakfast, a visit to the My Son Sanctuary is an experience that should not be missed while visiting the beautiful city of Hoi An. Enjoy a half-day trip to visit the capital and religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom, My Son, which has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. During a time spanning from the 4th to 8th centuries, when Tra Kieu (then known as Simhapura) served as the political capital of Champa, My Son was the site of the most important Cham intellectuals and a religious centre.

It is also believed that this site could have been used as a place of burial for Cham monarchs. My Son is considered to be Cham’s counterpart to the grand cities of South-East Asia’s other Indian influenced civilizations: Angkor (Cambodia), Bagan (Myanmar), Ayuthaya (Thailand), and Borobudur (Java). After the tour to the sanctuary, we will return to your hotel. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6: Hoi An - Hue Imperial City (B,L)

Check out, transfer to Hue. We will visit the Citadel, Hue’s prime attraction, which contains the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City and the Emperor’s Private Residence. Following the morning activities, we will have a short break for lunch and afterward, we will take a boat trip on the Perfume River with a stopover at Thien Mu Pagoda. Considered by many as the unofficial symbol of Hue, Thien Mu is an active Buddhist monastery with origins dating back to 1601. One of its most poignant displays is a car belonging to a former monk, who in 1963, drove to Saigon and set himself alight to protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its cruel treatment of Buddhist monks and followers. From here, we will go to visit the serene Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, designed to blend in with its natural surroundings and built on principles of feng-shui. Overnight in Hue.

Day 7: Hue - Quang Binh (B,L)

Check out hotel, transfer to Quang Tri Province. Along the way, we will stop at a number of different battle sites to see the Quang Tri citadel, Ben Hai river, Hien Luong bridge and Seventeenth Parallel – the former borderline between North and South Viet Nam during the war. In the afternoon, we will visit the Vinh Moc tunnels where North Vietnamese guerilla fighters lived and fought. We will continue on our way to Dong Hoi, check-in hotel and relax for the night. Overnight in Quang Binh.

Day 8: Paradise cave (B,L) - Hue - flight to Ha Noi

After breakfast, we will visit Paradise Cave. The cave was discovered by scientist of the British Caving Research Association in 2005, has the length of 31 km and is the longest dry cave in Asia. With naturally primitive features Paradise cave looks like a landscape painting, making it very attractive to visitors. According to cavers, the deeper one journeys into the cave, the more one feels the wells of heavenly clarity all around. There are a series of white crystal stalactites resembling glass pillars and many other spectacular formations.

We will return to Hue and take the flight to Ha Noi. Check in and overnight in Ha Noi

Day 9: Ha Noi - Ninh Binh - Inland Ha Long bay (B,L)

Pick up at the hotel for a 2-hour car ride heading south of Ha Noi to Ninh Binh Province, known to travelers as Viet Nam’s “Inland Ha Long Bay”. This will be an exciting day highlighted by a two-hour boat ride in Tam Coc stream. You will enjoy spectacular scenery while gliding along the river among rice paddies and ranges of limestone mountain peaks towering above you. After enjoying a lunch of local food served at a riverside restaurant, we will take a short trip down a peaceful country road to Hoa Lu, Viet Nam’s ancient capital of the 10th and 11th century. Here stand two temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le. Then, we will return to Ha Noi.

Day 10 Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay (BLD)

The shuttle bus will pick you up at your hotel and depart for Ha Long Bay, go through the scenic countryside. The wondrous Ha Long Bay is truly one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights. Heading out of the town, embark on a boat for an exploration of the legendary Ha Long Bay. This exciting cruise will provide a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way, anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. Stay overnight on the Cruise.

Day 11: Ha Long Bay - Ha Noi (BL)

Early morning sun risers can enjoy Tai Chi lesson on sundeck. Morning view of bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. Have breakfast.

Then, check-out and enjoy a fantastic cruise on the bay. Enjoy the lunch on cruise.

12:00 the cruise are landing Halong Bay harbor, tourist say goodbye to sailors and finish the cruise. Return to Hanoi by shuttle bus. Stopover in Hai Duong province to visit a ceramics workshop.
