Exploring Ba Be Lake in 3 days 2 nights

Short description

Ba Be is the largest lake in Vietnam with a various of many plant and animal here. There are over 200 species of bird, 350 species of butterfly, some of forests. The great place like this should reserve by the government. Cutting down the tourism by increasing price of protection nature to avoid many destroyer visitor come there and endanger this heritage. Increasing the price like this will select the people to go this place and help the economies of local people. Coming there and dive into the natural environment avoiding the pollution or crowded of the city.

Day 1: Hanoi – Ba Be Lake

You will be picked up from your hotel at 7:30 AM and having lunch on the way. Across the main road then move to mountains with tea plantations to reach Tay village at Bo Lu. This village belongs Tay ethnic. Their lifestyle of them are rice field, fishing, corn and traditional activity. Enjoying the simple with full accommodation here to go in line with the natural. After that, discovering spectacular rivers, deep valley, beautiful caves and long range of mountains. So, do not forget to take some of pictures here. There are two options in the afternoon:

First option: Kayaking and fishing at Ba Be Lake. Staying all afternoon at Ba Be Lake to look many birds and wonderful mountain. Enjoying the simple dinner with local meals that prepare by the host.

Second option: Cycling and walking around the village. Moving to the ethnic village of Pac Ngoi. Seeing their lifestyle or having a chance to work with them is harvest rice and fishing.

Day 2: Spending all day to hike in Ba Be forest

The local guide will take all of tourist to visit the Coc Toc village to meet the Tay people and see their activity like fishing and growing rice. After got through the Pelu stream, you should cross the rough terrain, trying your best you will get the reward by spectacular views. Go far away, we will have a picnic lunch at H’mong ethnic. Kayaking on Ba Be Lake. After lunch, the local guide will direct you cross valleys and mountains. So, you will have a chance to see the stilt houses, school of Cash Dao people, keep going on the way to meet another H’mong ethnic village. In the evening, you will have dinner at homestay.

Day 3: Ba Be Lake – Hanoi

Having breakfast at the homestay. After that we move to Bo Lu boat station and have 3 hours boat trip, to go around the Ba Be Lake. Looking the local kids that they jump in the river for a swim, just do it if you want to get warm-up yourself. The boat take you in a river, get through the valleys of mountains, looking some of natural caves and breathing the smell of nature that place has butterfly and birds. Visiting to the tunnel Puong cave, with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites. This place attracts too much Bats. Taking a rest for your legs on the drive back to Hanoi. On the way, we will stop to have lunch at a local restaurant. Arriving in Hanoi at 17:30 and come back to the hotel.

Hiking and trekking about 7 – 10 km on second day.

The climate is usually humid and hot from July to September.

The climate is cooler and more pleasant from October to June. Transport:
